U.S. News and World Report recently ranked the Maine School of Science and Mathematics in Limestone #35 on a list of the top 100 high schools in the country. Four other Maine high schools made an unranked list of the top 505, while eight others were in the top 1,591. The list focuses on college readiness and is based largely on the number of students taking Advanced Placement courses and tests, and how they perform on them.
